Well it is finally here after a few re-designs and alpha testing. Now we need you to help us with the beta testing! We want to ensure that we have the best control panel ever, and to do that we need the help of our awesome clients (thats you!) Click on the image bellow to see a full screen shot of our baby!
To become a beta tester is easy! You just have to send an email! Just send an email to jon@eleven2.com and include the following information:
- Subject line of email: [beta testing]
- First and Last name
- Primary domain listed on your e2 account
- email address listed on your e2 account
- And a 300 word essay on why you should be a beta tester
Ok totally kidding on the essay part! But we do need all of that other information! Only the first 50 people to email me will get a spot on our beta testing team, we do this so that we can work closely with our testers to ensure we fix anything that needs to be corrected or add features that we overlooked!
But don’t worry more beta tests are to come, our development team is not stopping with this! They are already working on yet another awesome project that is going to make hosting with e2 even better!

We really hope to keep this blog updated as frequently as possible, but we need your help too! Today we are launching a blog post contest for a $75 prize!
Here’s your mission:
- Submit a Blog post with 150-300 words about anything you want. It just has to be appropriate (think PG-13) and interesting to our readers. Blog about your favorite gadget or most helpful software tips. Blog about your favorite musician. Write a gag post, or a rant. Then take your post and submit it to me, brett@eleven2.com. We understand allot of people in America and even the World are facing a great deal of economic crisis right now. I know many personally that have lost their jobs or have been foreclosed on and it is very sad to see what men really high up in suits will do for greed. Just yesterday I went into a Washington Mutual Bank to close our old Eleven2 account, the teller asked why I was wanting to close my account my response was very simple: “You guys went under, why do you think?”. I truly felt sorry for the guys at that branch, as I know any day they will be let go as they merge with Chase. That is what bugs me here, the people that are working hard on the ground level really had no control of this and still will have no control of when their boss says there job is over. I truly believe in order to maintain a market ran economy we cannot give into these stimulus plans and bail everyone out.
Luckily, for the hosting business, without knocking on wood or speaking too soon, we have been very luckily and have continued on a constant growth including our largest month ever in February and even our largest day ever, which was yesterday. We want to give 3 ways to help yourself through the economy (and I am not trying to sound corporate here or promote our sales, these 3 things really can help).
Outsource Hosting
Most companies are moving to outsourced hosting, this saves allot of cap-ex for companies that may have the money right now to pay a monthly recurring cost, but cannot drop 10’s of thousands of dollars on new servers, licensing and such. We are seeing a huge spike in sales on all 3 of our businesses, www.eleven2.com, www.360dart.com and www.180servers.com. We are driven to give our customers the best prices, which is what we feel is driving our crazy growth right now in all 3 businesses. We are about to launch 2 additional brands here shortly, that we are faced with doing based on the demand from our customers. We are selling of exchange exchange hosting through our 360Dart brand, as it saves larger companies allot of licensing and server expenses. We are seeing allot growth in our 180servers business solely based on the the fact that customers who are doing allot of processing or virtualization need there own dedicated server at a great price, which we deliver.
Get a Job
In the past year we have quadrupled the number of employees we have here at Eleven2 and are still hiring, yes we are not crazy.

- Dedicated Server Sales Representative
- Outside Exchange Sales Representative
- Outside BCP/Colocation Sales Representative
One of our local competitors was stating in a blog post recently how they cannot find employees in this economy, we actually do not see that as accurate if you pay them a honest wage and treat your employees correctly, which we do. Eleven2 Hosting
I know a lot of you have been wondering what is going on with the eleven2 blog. We’re just finishing up our redesign of it. It’s not a big change from what we had before, but I personaly think that its a great improvement. Along with the redesign comes a renewedgoal to post more often, so not only will the blog be the source for eleven2 news, but it’ll also include news from around the net. Our ultimate goal is to have the blog become the face of eleven2, and a regular stop on your weekly blog browsing routine.

We got featured on a pretty big hosting website, Web Hosting Unleashed and they posted a great article about the economy and the slowdown in the business.
Luckily the slowdown is not affecting us at Eleven2, we are growing like crazy and really have allot of good things in store over the next few months to come!
I just wanted to real quick and state that we love emails. I have been here personally assisting our admins tonight in our migration from Litespeed to Apache on the last few servers. We did this in just under 2 hours and brought down thousands of websites. Yet, we did not get a single phone call! I talked to various people over AIM and tickets already, but not a single phone call, quite a feat in this day in age. It just simply shows how powerful email is when you send out a advanced warning on our upgrades.
We are excited to be making this migration and have allot of very new things in store now that we have this completed!
We love our iPhones here at Eleven2! Almost all of us have one here! We love it! We also, used to love IMAP, and in reality we still do, but we love instant push e-mail that is not tied to the problematic MobileMe service! Yes, we like e-mail that works very nicely all the time! So that is why we bought 360Dart!

Wow, is all I can say. I have never been part of a more satisfying and fun week with the launch (finally) of our brand new affiliate program.
Affiliates
We are very thrilled about this program and already have lots of customers who have quite large balances now with being just 5 days into our program. Many customers are already running ads on facebook, google sending out e-mail blast to their contact list, posting specials on their blogs or forums, it is such a great way for anyone to earn some extra, or even allot of cash!
New Phone System
Also, we also just got our brand new phone system setup. We have been using a in-house asterisk server for the past 4 years, but were consistently running into problems and would find out quite often our phone system was not working. So we are very pleased to have switched to a hosted solution. I even have a phone at my house now…not sure how to take that yet as I answered a phone call about 5 minuets ago here (1:24AM while writing this), but were very pleased to be able to assist the customer that was calling.
Billing/Support System Upgrades Coming!
We also are in the final stages of some of the preparation for our new sign up form that we are working on right now as well as our new billing/support system upgrade which should be taking place over the course of the few weeks.
cPanel Design!
We are also making very good progress on our cPanel skin that we announced in beta a few months ago, we are working very closely with the beta testers and our developer is making huge progress on this and we hope to have the final product our here shortly.
We have allot on our plates over the next few weeks, I am about to personally head up to Chicago for the 4th annual HostingCon to meet with some of our various vendors and will be looking out for some great new products I can bring home for all of our Eleven2 customers and add to our arsenal of ad-dons and features we can provide for you!
We have been working very hard over the past few months on a few projects that will see the light of day very shortly.
Once of which is our brand new VPS line, all the new information for these will be posted on our website shortly when they come out of beta. But we are opening up today, our VPS beta program. If anyone is interested in getting their own VPS server, please do contact us and we can get you on some special pricing. We have been using the technology that is running this new product for years and are now finally ready to get it rolled out to our customers to use. We will have VPS plans starting at $49.99 per month, and we can roll you up to our most powerful server literally with little to no downtime, something of which we are very excited about. We have also been working pretty hard on getting our new cPanel rolled out to our customers and have had some hiccups along the way. We are basically going to have to redesign this, as we had some compatibility issues. So we are looking for someone who is interested in taking this project from the designs we already have and coding this out all the way to completion and implementation.
