At the same time, we also rolled out our ticketing security update, which basically meant that existing customers had to be logged into the e2 brain in order to submit and reply to tickets.

This made our ticketing system much more secure, and also much more tidy. As there are now no email footer and other clutter that emailing makes, our technicians can easily read through the ticket more like a thread message. Thus making our support response times even greater.

Remember, if we don’t have your pre-defined subject listed, please select “Other”. Management read through all tickets marked as “Other”, and we can decide whether or not to add more ticket subjects to our list.

Security Update

We think this will also cut down on duplicate tickets and responses to tickets, keeping everything more organized and running efficiently.

PHP Upgrade to 5.3.x

We made the switch to PHP 5.3 from PHP 5.2 which is at the end of its life. PHP 5.3 is much more stable, more secure and provides many more features. We did this upgrade in 2 phases, and highly recommended that all clients update their WordPress, vBulletin and all other software scripts.

New Checkout Process

We have made major changes to our order process. After 4 weeks in development, the new order process has been streamlined to perfection, and is extremely easy to use. Hopefully you will prefer it to the old process. Any feedback is welcome!

Live Global Network Status

If your wondering where to go to see the status of our network, or any problems that are occurring, then check out our @e2Status twitter page. If ever an issue arrises, we always post on our community forum, and also update the e2Status twitter page to keep customers informed.

Due the PHP 5.2.x being set to end-of-life. We are going to start the upgrade next Friday evening to upgrade a batch of servers to PHP 5.3.x. This update will take place over a 2 week period and we will post the schedule listed here:

All clients will receive a e-mail the week before the upgrade takes place letting them know if they are part of upgrade Part 1 or 2.

The new PHP 5.3.x will our branch that we run all servers on for the foreseeable future. With this upgrade, we are taking this opportunity to upgrade any remaining servers not on Litespeed or Cloudlinux, which will take place at the same time.

While this small upgrade should not present problems for most websites, this will cause some minor compatibility issues mainly with those folks who have not kept your software updated in the past.

We highly recommend that you update any PHP scripts you are running such as WordPress, vBulletin, Joomla, etc. We always recommend you stay up to date most importantly for security reasons.

We implemented CloudLinux and LiteSpeed on our servers. Both CloudLinux and LiteSpeed will increase reliability and make your websites load even faster!

New Asia Location!

We opened our new data center location in Asia. It currently is only available for shared web hosting packages, but will soon be added for reseller web hosting.

Official CloudFlare Certified Partner

Eleven2 now is listed as an official certified CloudFlare hosting partner. We have been offering CloudFlare as a free addon to all our customers for a few months now, but only recently became a Certified CloudFlare Partner.

Continued Support Improvements

Eleven2 continues to improve support. We overhauled our knowledgebase updating old articles and adding new guides. We also added more employees for our Brain and VIP support panels.
