  • Mac OS X Lion – A Sneak Peek

    With Mac OS X Lion’s release into the wild set for this summer, we have a few screenshots of Apples brand new operating system. This looks incredible! I thought when Leopard came out a few years back that they couldn’t improve that any further, but here we are again with yet another breathtaking operating system.

  • 12 Fantastic Examples of Web Form Designs

    Being the Creative Director here at eleven2, I have to make sure I’m fully up to date on all the latest web trends, and this can often mean spending a bit of time reading through popular web design blogs such as sixrevisions.com and webdesignerdepot.com. Also, looking at CSS web galleries can be good for web design inspiration, when your stuck on a specific idea, or want to see what others have done.

  • Our hopes for the iPad 2

    Here at eleven2 we love the ipad, heck we love everything apple makes (Minus the Apple TV). So you can imagine our excitement to hear about the latest apple event happening tomorrow! Hopefully with the absence of Steve Jobs while he is wrapping himself in seaweed and doing yoga, apple will be able to crank out an impressive new ipad. So we just wanted to take some time and explain what we think will and will not be happening with this new ipad.

  • Running jQuery Alongside Other Libraries

    When designing the eleven2 forum, I came across a huge problem. Our whole header runs on jQuery to control the login bar that drops down on click, then phone number hover over effect and of course our whole dropdown navigation menu. And the thing is, our forums run on Invision Power Board, which runs the javascript libraries prototype and scriptaculous.

    The two instant clashed, and screwed up much of the forums effects when toggling submenu’s, writing replies, toggling the sidebar etc, so I looked for a way to make jQuery work around other scripts, and the answer, jQuery NoConflict.
