This is my last 30 day uptime

I open ticket almost everyday because my reseller is down , i am on the charger server 

i Seriously think about changing company ... i got a lot of complaints and i lose almost all my customer, its not normal ...

I am bored of stupid support answer , you guys are robot or what ? when i ask for SLA refund i dont get any answer .. .when i ask you why charger is always down i receive the same answer again and again : we are investigating ... and you are doing NOTHING

Is this even possible to be that BAD ?

My clients and I are unable to access email over IMAP/POP3 or even send emails at some times of the day. I've reported this issue a lot of times but the only answer I get is "It was a temporary issue, the services are running fin on the server".

I did some server load logging for the past few days and I concluded that every time my clients complain is because the load on the server is something like 50 and it's refusing connections.

On Outlook this issue appears as the program asking for password, on OSX/iOS Mail app it just says it can't connect to the server.

Since my clients complains and load spikes happen at the same time I think the high load is causing the server to refuse connections...

Anyone had this issues before? This is really annoying and at least one guy is talking about moving out.

You have not changed your password in 306 days. The current security policy requires that you change your password every 180 days to avoid your account being compromised.

Any attempt to change it just results in :

There was an error manipulating the password file. This generally means you entered your old password incorrectly.

The error detail shows:

Changing password for user greenvil.
Changing password for greenvil
(current) UNIX password:
passwd: Authentication token manipulation error

They takes forever to answer you question and forever to correct it.

I've tried to have conversations about these latest strands of temporary bans with eleven2.  There is definitely over-zealous security settings.

The problem is misconfiguring of their server firewall software.  Support has blamed this on "shared hosting" needing stricter security, but their settings are way way too strong.

Here is an example of a block from their logs:  (I've masked my IP with XXX)

The software they are using is called CSF or ConfigServer Scripts and Firewall.  It comes as part of WHM/cPanel.  http://www.configserver.com/cp/csf.html

Now most single webpages you have open will only have 2 connections at a time running in serial, but there are a number of things that can take this number up quickly.  Multiple windows, FTP connections, asynx ajax calls, flash image galleries etc can easily open more than 30 connections for a single IP.  My recommendation in the mean time.  If you intend to use FTP, close all other windows to your eleven2 account.

Currently eleven2 (Sandy A. in particular) recommends that if you need more than 30 concurrent connections, easily reachable by a small image gallery, you should upgrade to their VPS service.

Here is the unmodified instructions from the CSF config file:

I certainly wouldn't fault them for lowering the limit from 300 for shared hosting, but 30?  

Plus the could set a connection limit so a user can't get more than X number, rather than banning them for trying.  This setting is called  CONNLIMIT   You can read about it here...  http://configserver.com/free/csf/readme.txt

Other less quality hosts don't have this strict of a setting..  For instance:

I urge eleven2 to reconsider this setting.  30 creates too many false positives.
