I'm not to familiar with CentOS so I was wondering how I would install Ubuntu with LAMP on my VPS.

This question stems from needing certain scripts installed for my 3rd party script/application to run properly on my VPS. Support did help me with most of what I needed but then stated they do not support 3rd party script installs, below...

Python: 2.4.3 upgraded to 2.5.0
exiftool: Need to be installed
soffice: Need to be installed

I know Ubuntu supports this and I can perform them on that OS but not
centOS. If anyone can offer any help with this or an alternative solution
that would be great.
Unfortunately SharkSpace is not useful to me if I can not get these scripts installed..

Any help would be great!!

centOS is a linux distribution like ubuntu, fedora...etc
almost all linux are the same with some tools and collections
you only need to know the package manager command to get starting updating and installing/uninstalling packages you want.
