Hi guys,

I'm a fairly intermediate web designer I know my way around most common languages but if I'm completely honest I'd rather download my templates from ThemeForest and edit them than start in Photoshop, slice then code etc.

So, if you're like me but don't want to spend money on templates and scripts, here's a huge list of categorised freebies for you all!

HTML/CSS Templates and Layouts

1. 7 Premium Quality Free XHTML/CSS Templates with PSD!

2. Free CSS Templates

3. 101 High Quality CSS And XHTML Layouts

Wordpress Themes

1. 250 Beautiful FREE 2012 Edition Wordpress Themes

2. 99 Free Wordpress/PSD Themes! 2012 Edition

3. FreeWPthemes.co

Web Designer Bundles

1. WordPressThemeShock.com

2. BoxOfBundles.com

3. PSDBundle

Code/Scripts/Apps

1. 57+ Free Image Gallery, Slideshow and Lightbox Solutions

2. 50 New and Crazy Cool jQuery Plugins

3. DHTMLGoodies.com

4. Huge list of PHP Scripts!

5. 55 jQuery Animate Resources

Photoshop Documents (PSD)

1. 105 (and counting) Free Logos in PSD format

2. 40 Free PSD Website Templates

3. PSDTemplates.com

4. 40+ High Quality and free web templates

Other Resource

To find the newest freebies it's always best to add the year to the google search. For example, instead of searching "Free wordpress themes" try searching "Free wordpress themes 2012" and you will get a lot of blog posts from websites that may be slightly less popular than most big blog websites but offer a better list of freebies!

Here are also some fantastic websites that have some excellent resources from PSD files to Wordpress Themes to Scripts:

DeviantArt.com
SmashingApps.com
SmashingMagazine
Dreamincode
dHTML Goodies
DynamicDrive.com

Feel free to reply with more resource websites and I will add them to this list.

Hope you find what you're looking for!

I gave up all those B)

Doing my own HTML, CSS, and JavaScript Responsive Framework instead which will be available to the public in a couple weeks, hosted on Eleven2.

Pre-molded templates are good, however, when you want to have a steady flow of work going, each and every template tends to have their own sets of CSS etc, which makes the work sometimes a bit confusing.

Using Frameworks, you can create sites with easy and deploy faster, also, you memorize the tags and that rewards you when doing a new start up.

Just a thought.

A great source of free code and designs (especially if used to inspire) is the Envato group of websites. They offer a free file of the month which I make sure if nothing else I take advantage of.

www.codecanyon.net
www.graphicriver.net

I LOVE Envato D2! I've spent around $2,500 in the past 3 years with ThemeForest. Every website I have made for somebody has been with a ThemeForest theme (I'm not a web developer, I can just customize themes :P)

Great network!

They are an absolutely fantastic network! Been following them ever-since they just had PSD Tuts and they were called Eden.

I agree. Some projects just work out better with a pre-designed theme that alllllmost works perfectly for the customer with some tweaking.

Very good point. If I can, I do like to use themes from the same developer who uses a Framwork across their themes.

Thank you for sharing this awesome collection of resources. I've bookmarked it as there was far too much to go through now. I especially like the PSD freebies and the PHP and jQuery bits too.

There's also DryIcons.com that has a lot of Icons and Vectors that are free to use with credits, or if you don't want to add credits you can pay a small license fee. While it's not themes, they can still be added to themes you find!

Thanks for the list. I skimmed through a couple and they look great! While I like to make everything from scratch to help improve my skills these could come in very useful to boost the speed of my work.
