If you're trying to install Magento on your E2 shared hosting you can do that within cPanel.
Head over to Softaculous. From there, click "eCommerce" in the left panel and then click "Magento", then add all the information you want (store name, admin details etc.) and click "Install"

It's great sharing about the installation of Magento application on Linux. I think you have to download it and run installer.

You need to download Magento Commerce first, them send it to your hosting account via FTP.
After that you need to create a MySQL database and username and assign the proper permissions.
Go to the Public URL of the files, it should open a page to run the installer, run it. It will show in red everything that you might be required to change on the hosting, such as files and/or folders permissions. Apply the changes if required then re-run the installer.
Make sure that you save the API that its given to you during installation, you might need it.
After installing, make a backup. This because running automatic installs from extensions made available on their directory might damage your installation beyond repair. I used to run Magento Commerce web stores all the time, so prior to install something new, I kept doing backups.
By the way, Softaculous or any cPanel "click to install script" is a paradise for hackers.
