We would like to advise all customers that Sharkspace.com has joined the Eleven2 family, and is merging with the Eleven2 brand. This is a fantastic acquisition and we would love to tell all our Eleven2 customers about the great news, and what this means to your service.
The merger is being done over a period of 12 days...
SEP 9th - Merger is announced to the public.
SEP 11th - Sharkspace VPS clients get moved over to Eleven2 VIP.
SEP 21st - Sharkspace billing panel merged with Eleven2.
This migration is planned to be 100% seamless and smooth, you should not notice any difference until the dates mentioned above for your new login methods.
What Can You Expect?
Merging Sharkspace with Eleven2 brings positive news to both brands. First off, nothing at all is being changed to your Eleven2 Hosting service.
We’ve planned everything down to perfection! No sites or servers are being moved anywhere. Prices aren’t changing and there will be no disruption whatsoever to your current level of service.
As we’re bringing the entire Sharkspace team over to Eleven2, this means we will have a much stronger team available to assist you round the clock 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This also means faster response times to tickets, and a more personal level of live chat assistance.

Hope nothing will happen with the current price I'm paying and the package I'm getting along with it.

The pricing will NOT change at all. I promise that.
In terms of the service, this deal would not been able to occur unless the great team from Sharkspace joined us intact, which did occur. The one thing that we liked best about Sharkspace was their amazing level of service and support, that will not change and we hope will only get better as we continue to add more great and brilliant staff members!
If you ever any concerns, questions, please contact me directly at rodney@eleven2.com or my direct number is 281-374-4957!

Looking at the Eleven-2 site, you don't offer VPS, but rather cloud hosting. Will current Sharkspace VPS customers continue with the same VPS setup, or will that be migrated to cloud hosting?

Thanks for your post!
Support will only be getting better. One of the main reasons we wanted Sharkspace.
You will remain on your VPS account, no changes will occur. Eleven2 will even be offering VPS servers probably within the next month. We love the successful VPS servers that Sharkspace did, so we will be using the Sharkspace team to handle that here!
We are super excited about the new offerings! But all-in-all, nothing will really change other than you will be able to login to our control panel shortly!

Here's my concern:
I've been with Sharkspace for quite a while under a "40% off for life" promotion which included being able to change packages without losing the discount. About 2 months ago, I upped my package from "Arctic Reseller" to "Indian Reseller" in anticipation of a new client. However, that client fell through and I won't be needing the larger package. My plan was to downgrade back to my original package, but I'm not sure how previous discounts apply.
Do those of us that had "lifetime" discounts get to keep them if we need to change packages?

So in the future, will the sharkspace packages/pricing be going away and all new accounts be created under Eleven2 packages, or will sharkspace continue operating with it's own brand/pricing but under management of Eleven2?
Thanks for the clarification.

Well we did promise per our e-mail that the plans and pricing will NOT be going away.
You will have the same plan and same pricing for as long as you wish.
We would hope you would want to upgrade to one of our plans and as soon as the billing system is migrated, then you will have the ability to upgrade to that!
On September 21, you will have access to eleven2.com/brain which is our AWESOME control panel and will give you all that functionality.
But literally nothing is changing other than the login to our Eleven2 billing panel.

Funny thing is, I just move from sharkspace hammerhead hosting (only have 2 months left there) to eleven2 S-200 last month just because i tempted by the more elegant e2brain & e2panel interface. If i knew sharkspace will be acquired by Eleven2, i wouldn't have to worry moving GBs of files.
But glad to join Eleven2 though, got cheaper price for the first 2 years, thanks to the Nettuts+ coupon

Thanks for your questions Nutcase!
Any sharkspace customers will stay on sharkspace servers.
We are in the process of changing things so only our 'unlimited' clients are on 'unlimited' servers.
While your presumption of most unlimited host being oversold and slow is generally true, it is quite the opposite here. Eleven2 has a great uptime and track record of providing services. We use Hive and Guardian from 1h.com to ensure a single user cannot take control of your servers!
You will however have the option to change to any of the Eleven2 plans anytime you want after the billing migration occurs on September 21st!
Please let me know if you have any further questions and we are so glad to have you as part of our big Eleven2 family now!

Can you tell me if you offer custom work on a forum for a price? A few years ago Sharkspace did and that helped me a lot until they stopped.
Also, I understand that Sharkspace used to back up the boards every night. I think that was a huge plus for them. Other hosts did it weekly. Are you going to continue to do the nightly back ups? I never needed it, but it's go to know in case there's a problem.
Thank you

Julia1,
Welcome to the Eleven2 Family.
Unfortauntely we do not offer custom development work. We would recommend you find a designer/developer to help you with that. We simply just do hosting and we do it the best that is possible.
In terms of backups, we do nightly backups and keep 10 daily backups exactly like Sharkspace does, nothing will be changing there at all.
