Ever since going to Eleven2 my Wordpress installations all have issues auto-updating the plug-ins as required.
The process seems to hang forever and won't refresh when it's complete. I've let it sit for as much as an hour (though the process should take no more than 30 seconds) and nothing changes.
Is there anything that is different with Eleven2 Hosting that is keeping it from auto-updating? I cannot expect my clients to manage their updates manually.
Is there anything I need to change to my .htaccess file that could correct this problem?
ANY help would be greatly appreciated.

i have had this problem in the past when moving hosts.
Did you move via cpanel? Sometimes the permissions of all the folders and a files get borked, and yes its a pain in the ass. I also just moved here so i have not had the pleasure of trying to auto update. However lets not take the possibility of this being an 11-2 issue off ther table. On 1 host i used in the past i had the same issue, it would hang for long periods, sometimes it would work sometimes it would fail. The host promised to optimize their servers to make me happy,i dont know what the did exactly but they fixed it on their end.
I would talk to the wordpress community first but if nothing comes of it i would re-ask here. Im sure 11-2 has many servers so just because it works for 1 person doesn't mean it will for all.

Ok i just logged into one of my wordpress sites and auto upgraded a plugin at blazing fast speeds.
You should login to your cpanel and see what server your on and post it back here. If its the same one as me then we know its a wordpress issue, if its a different server then there are 2 possible issues.

Never had any problems whatsoever re: WordPress auto updates. There were times when I got "ran out of memory errors", but I've fixed that one after moving from my Sharkspace (32MB limit) to my Eleven2 hosting account (64MB limit) and that, pretty flawlessly.
