Hi,

I love Eleven2 however, I'm looking for some ideas and feedback. It seems that often when not using a known smtp server (Google, Yahoo, ISP) messages are sent to spam. Meaning when i use mail.example.com as the outgoing smtp server.

What are some ways to avoid this? Normally I set my outgoing server to my ISP's outgoing server or pull my account into Gmail. I'm just wondering other ways to solve this.

This may be a bit more work than what it's worth, but you could host your email server through a secondary source, i.e. an exchange server, which may have a smaller likelihood of running into spam issues.

The other recommondation, which can be pricy, is using Google's email service, basically it's Gmail with a custom url, which is $50/user/year. Here's a link: http://www.google.co...s/features.html

If you can let us know through a Technical Support Ticket, we can get this resolve for your ASAP.
Since all IPs are gone now on the internet, most IPs we get are not the 'cleanest' and need to be cleaned up and the only real way todo that is send real mail through.

The other option is to be on your own static IP, which only your mail will go out of, so no other clients on our servers can get you blacklisted. We may still have to clean this up as they may be brand new IPs, but once we get them clean, its really only your fault at that point to get them blocked

Google Apps is actually a great option, we used it here internally for a good year. Its actually free for the first 50 users (unless you need the more advanced features, which you really usually don't). http://www.google.co...roup/index.html

This is how I send emails and prevent my emails being in the SMTP box.

I connect all my pop3 eleven2 accounts into my gmail and use Gmail to send the emails out not gmail to eleven2.

If you need for automated php sending. You can use the PHPmailer class (google it) and use these infomation as your smtp info.

Outgoing Server: ssl://smtp.gmail.com:465
Username: yourgmailusername
Password: yourgmailpassword

Hopefully, this will solve the problem.
